AI & Operational systems designed for your team.
Surely there's a better way for this to work.
If your team is working around your software instead of with it, there is. We design the systems that fit how your business actually operates, not the other way around.
Free your team. Get their time back
Your team should be doing the work that moves the business forward, not holding it together. We design systems that absorb the manual coordination, so your team's time goes where it should.
Stop being held hostage by your business
When the system holds the operation together, the business runs even when key people don't. Onboarding gets easier. Knowledge stays in the business. The people are doing their job. The systems are doing theirs.
More clients, more jobs, same team
Growth shouldn't always cost hiring another person. Systems that fit how your business actually works can absorb more volume, more complexity, more clients; without scaling the team to do it.
There is a better way for this to work. Here's how we find it.
Start with the people, not the tech
We start by talking to your team. Every role, every workaround, every place the day gets harder than it should. The system gets built from that picture, not from what the software wants you to do.
Build around how the work actually happens
When the system fits how your team works, the right things happen. Your team stops doing tasks that shouldn't exist. Your clients get a smoother experience. The business sees it in retention, in referrals, in work that's easier to be proud of.
Ship fast, improve as we go
Your team has a better way to work within weeks, not months. The system ships, your team uses it, and it gets stronger from there. No trade-off between short-term relief and something built to last.
What we're building
A property styling business moving a large inventory across constantly changing sites
Strategy in progressThis is a business that's genuinely good at what it does, and it grew on the back of that. The systems that carried it early on were fine then. At its current size they're slow and stretched. They won't keep up as it grows.
A large inventory moves between client properties, tracked across a master spreadsheet and a stack of tools that were never built to talk to each other, with the detail that matters sitting in people's heads rather than anywhere the whole team can see.
We spent time on site across the whole operation, from quoting to picking to the warehouse pack, to understand how it actually runs. Then we handed back a clear picture of the business as it works today. We're now shaping the full system design. The quick wins come first, so the team feels the difference early while the deeper build follows.
Operation mapped end to end · quick wins first · full design underway
A cleaning business across Melbourne's inner south-east
Stage 1 liveA growing business still running on spreadsheets, group chats and manual checks. It worked while they were small, but as they take on more it gets harder to hold together, and the admin piles onto a few key people.
"I paid the whole week's invoices from my phone in about five minutes. I used to spend at least an hour a week."
Director
With no legacy systems to unpick, we ran a leaner, more agile strategy and mapped a full custom build for them to grow into, delivered in stages rather than all at once. Stage 1, automated invoice checking, is live: it runs on its own and the team only reviews the exceptions. Each stage also leaves clean, structured data behind it, the groundwork for smarter quoting and planning as the build continues.
Compliance handled, not hoped for · exceptions-only review · clean data for what's next
Commercial facade fabrication, Victoria
System design in progressThe team here knows how to win and deliver good work. What holds it all together is the team itself, leaning hard on the directors for the calls only they can make. It runs well. The dependency on a few people is what caps how much further it can go.
A lot of the work also runs inside systems they don't control, like the specialist software their industry runs on and the platforms builders mandate on a given job. None of it was built to connect to how this business actually works.
Right now we're sitting in with the team, getting under how the work really runs and what the tools they rely on can and can't do. From there we shape the system design. It takes the manual load off the team and gives the business room to grow, and it lifts the experience on both sides, inside for the team and outside for the people they work with.
Less reliance on a few key people · room to grow
I'm Chantelle, the founder of Critta. I've spent the last fifteen years working on the same problem from different angles. Marketing first, then websites and user experience design, now AI and operational systems. The thread underneath all of it is the same: making the experience of doing business better for the people inside it.
I'll ask too many questions about your operations before I suggest anything. I want to see the spreadsheet that's been the temporary fix for three years. I want to know where the team has built workarounds so good they've forgotten they're workarounds. The good systems start with understanding what's actually going on.
I'm based in Geelong and on the board of Geelong United Basketball. Most of the work happens within an hour's drive of where I live. A genuinely interesting operational problem will get me further afield. Critta is small by design. That's how the work gets done properly, and how I want to do it.

Questions we get asked
Critta reviews and redesigns the operational systems a business runs on, then builds the system that fits how your team actually works. The starting point is your whole stack, not one tool, so the fix holds across the operation instead of patching a single gap. AI sits underneath, taking the manual coordination off your team, rather than being the product.
Critta is for established operations, often in manufacturing, trades or service businesses, carrying a stack of systems and workarounds that have quietly become load-bearing. Usually a director, or a manager looking at how the work runs inside the business and how it lands for customers outside it. It suits teams ready to review the whole system stack properly, not bolt on another quick fix. If you want the cheapest, fastest patch, we are probably not your best fit.
We start by understanding your whole operation before recommending anything, where most quick fixes start with the tool. Off-the-shelf platforms ask your business to fit the software, and single automations patch one task while the rest of the stack stays disconnected. Critta designs around how your operation already runs, so the experience improves for your team inside and your customers outside. It takes longer than a bandaid, and it lasts.
Because the cost of those workarounds is real, it is just spread across the team in small repeated tasks nobody tracks anymore. Reviewing the whole stack shows where the same job is entered three times, where knowledge sits in one person's head, and where the experience drops for your team or your customers. From there you fix the highest-leverage thing first, rather than ripping everything out at once. You come away with a clear picture of what to change and what it is worth.
No. What goes is the manual work nobody was hired for, like re-keying the same job across systems or checking invoices by hand. Your team gets that time back for the work that needs them, and the experience improves for the people doing it. We design the systems with the team that uses them, not around them.
It starts with a strategy phase: we sit in with your team, map how the work really runs, and hand back a clear read on the business and where the opportunities are. Quick wins come first, so you feel the difference early, while the full system design follows. We ship working pieces in weeks and improve from there, rather than disappearing for half a year. Tech is the last conversation, not the first.
Critta is based in Geelong and works across Geelong and Melbourne, usually within about two hours of here. Most projects run remotely, with on-site sessions where being in the room matters, like sitting in with the team or running a workshop. For the right fit, we will travel further. Location matters less than whether the problem is the kind we are built for.
